An Historic Night

Okay--I am going to keep the political talk to a minimum--but Republican or Democrat--how cool is it that on the 45th Anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech that Barrack Obama--the first African American candidate (soon to be President :))-- will make a speech accepting his nomination!?! It is such a cool day! So I just had to make a post in case I somehow print my blog off and have for my children. I am not comparing Mr. King to President Obama--I am just saying that it is an historic event and that this is a part of what Mr. King must have meant in his speech. I am looking forward to tonight!!! But I am also looking forward to Monday's Republican convention, bc I still don't get that POV and I keep trying to have a better understanding. It will also be interesting to see who is VP. Good times! Gotta love politics. I never thought I would be so into it! But the more you learn the more you want to know and the more you want to be involved-- I think. That is what hooked me in. That and the fact that I finally really like a candidate! Anyways! Make sure to watch tonight! You know I will!!! :)

Healthcare...interesting

Healthcare is such a concern for us, and for Bryson's work-it is a small company--so when I read this I thought of all my friends that are struggling without any coverage--or little coverage (mostly bc companies don't provide it) and I thought of all the people that I worked with at Mervyn's who didn't qualify for the coverage our company provided...it makes me sick, honestly. I also thought about how the bills from Bailey's birth JUST stopped! I had to fight for each one to get paid by my insurance company! It is so annoying!!! I just had to share the following:

OLYMPIC FEVER

Some great moments this year in the Olympics! Love the swimming, diving, and gymnastics! Can't get enough! But I also like beach volleyball this year--(minus the women wearing the white suits--gross!)Love the 50m butterfly(was it?) where Phelps barely took gold and the team relay! Awesome! Good times!

HELP!

In reference to the pictures below....does anybody have any advice about where to order pics--online or otherwise? Is Shutterfly better than Snapfish? Is there another place online that offers a better service for pics up to a size 8x10? Or should I take them in somewhere? Thanks! I am printing them for my Grandma and then some for Bay's 18 month photos to frame in my house! PLEASE HELP! :)

So I went to BYU women's football clinic Thursday night and it was so cool! I have been to many games, and I have been on the field before when we stormed it after a win over UT years ago--but it was cool to see the players and especially the coach and hear them candidly speak about how much they love the game and love the team. I have always loved BYU football...but this was a great way to make the women feel more involved with football! They sent us home with a t-shirt, poster, magnet, and most importantly a pamphlet explaining the rules of the game! It was fun! We got a tour of the press boxes, locker room, etc and we did several drills out on the field. Lots of fun!! Totally going next year! I can't wait for the season to start!!!
