The Great Debaters/The Office

Well, I enjoyed the debate! Of course I didn't hear anything new but it was still fun. I also think (of course) that Obama won! But it was pretty close, and nobody really made any bold or new statements. I think Obama definitely looked and sounded more presidential and more calm! What did you guys think? I am curious how the undecided viewed it! Great fun!

ALSO! Wasn't THE OFFICE awesome!!! I love that show!!!

Pebbles it is!

Thanks for all your votes!! I decided on Pebbles! I think she is so darn cute as pebbles! BUT I thought Pebbles was blonde and she has red hair (orange- hair!) Oh, well! I think that I am going to dress-up as Wilma! It will be fun! I am spraying my hair orange and everything--don't think I will do that for Bay, though. They are going to be kinda homemade costumes, but should be fun! I am on the search for a bone for her hair that is on the smaller size--like around 3"--so if anyone has any suggestions or sees any as they are out and about, let me know! Thanks for all the comments and votes! I love the girly costumes, but my sister-in-law Mandy is right, she will want to be those when she is older, so do what I want for now! Plus...all the other costumes I have tried-on Bay she leaves on for like 2 minutes and then wants to be more comfortable--except for Pebbles! So there we go! I am hoping to improve her costume a lot and I think that with me as Wilma (and Bryson as Fred--he refuses, though) it would be perfect!!! :) SO crafty people, any ideas on how to make a Pebbles/Wilma costume? I have a rough idea but would love suggestions! I am not good at this stuff! :)

Help me decide. . .

Kitty

Princess

Poodle

Here is a rough version of a Pebbles costume--(picture a bone in her hair)

Butterfly (same as last year's)

Tinkerbell

Minnie Mouse

Is it lame to have your kid be the same thing this halloween as the previous? A part of me says she won't remember it, so why not save money! But then the pictures for each yr would be the same...Bay was a butterfly last yr, but she only wore it 2 hours and it still fits this year (fits better this year)--should I use it again? I can't decide! I have other ideas: Tinkerbell, Minnie Mouse (but neither are very warm so they aren't my first choice); as well as, Pebbles Flinstone, a poodle, a kitty, a princess....? What do you think? In case the prices might affect your vote, here they are: Poodle= $10, Princess= $10, Kitty= $20, Pebbles=$0, Butterfly=$0, Minnie=$30, Tinkerbell=$30 Help me decide--vote on my poll or leave a comment! Thanks!

Just had to share some dress-up pictures:

Memories...

Here are some pictures of Bay when she was so little! I miss the baby stage! (Especially after going to the store with her when she was so CRAZY!)--How did it happen that my sweet angel child grew up and now has her own agenda! She is so independent and stubborn! WOW! But ya gotta love her! I knew she couldn't stay perfect forever!!!

Things to consider...

I think most people choose a President based on the facts and on the issues...but lately I am not sure. Do you choose differently? Answer my poll--but remember there is no way that anyone will know it is you, so be honest with yourself and with the poll! It is interesting...I changed the poll a little so check it out again if you have already voted. :) I think that a lot of people vote for someone that they relate to most. Ironically, it is really just what that person seems to be, and most likely not how that person lives his/her life. I doubt that any of these candidates have the high morals that they like to emulate to us! That is why I vote only on the issues and the candidate that best represents my own views on those issues--though, I will NEVER fully agree with any one candidate on everything! That is impossible. But if I were to vote for someone that I relate to most or someone that is most like me--aside from all the political issues and based on personal issues/perspectives--that would mean that I would be voting for McCain/Palin! YIKES! ha ha--I don't agree with them on like 80% of the issues...so I will not be voting for them...But if I were to vote based on personal things Palin is most like me...Do you vote on the "most like me" candidate? Or do you NOT vote for someone bc they are black, a woman, young/ old? Or vote FOR them for the same reasons. I think it is interesting and important to analyze yourself and if you really are voting for the good of the country. Is it a personality contest? I think it is insulting that some of McCain supporters and campaign-ers believe that just bc they have a woman on their ticket that I would (as a woman) just vote for them! So dumb! The women who were Hilary supporters and are now voting for McCain are completely ignorant--bc like the SNL skit above--they are completely different when it comes to the issues! What do you think?

Old Photos

Here are some old photos...for those of you who don't know ...I don't age, and so I have been the same age for as long as I can remember--here are some pics to prove it: :)
In 1958

Here I am in 1960 --not a good year for me.

In 1966 I tried this bob called the "balloon bob"--it was all the rage!

And in 1978..such a good year for me. I was 5'4" with the afro 5'9"!

Here are some of Bryson:
We have been together for YEARS :)
1970 --I actually think he looks hot here! :)

1976 --here is the creepy version of Bryson :)

1982 --We had the same hairstyle for a while, it was cute.

So there ya have it...if you want to see yourself in these photos click here
Have fun!!! (Thanks, Linds!!)--K, I just had to tell you guys this: I showed these pics to Bay and when I asked her who they were she said, "Grandma June" (my mother in law) for the first 2 of me --the last 2 she said were "pretty" and the ones of Bryson did not fool her: "Daddy!" So funny! I was cracking up! She didn't recognize me but knew it was daddy--prob bc he has funny hair a lot of the time :)

Bailey turned 4 this year!
