Bailey on being a Big Sister soon....

So, no baby yet....but hopefully soon. As of last Friday I was dilated to a 3 and 60% effaced...my next apointment is Friday morning; but I had to share some cute things that Bay has been doing and saying:

I know she senses change and something happening. She has been talking baby talk and has been SUPER clingy to me! She will also randomly give me loves and kisses-even more than usual--and she will even say, "You ok mom? Jack kicking?"
We went to the store the other day and she said, "We going to the doctor's mom? This the doctor's house?"
The other night I also told her about how she was born and how I fell in love with her in the hospital and her sweet little gray/blue eyes looking up at me in the dark hospital room. The next day she out of no where said, "I was born too! I was a little baby, huh?" It is like she is wondering what this whole thing means--having a baby coming, and I hope she isn't stressing or thinking about it too much!
Also, I have been carrying Jack very low and so I often hold my stomach and yesterday Bay wanted me to jump like a bunny with her, and I said that I probably couldn't do a very good jump, so she replied with, "Mom, just hold your stomach like this and jump like this!"
I try not to mention Jack's rapidly approaching arrival, but every time anyone mentions how Jack will be here soon, she acts so excited and exclaims, "I will be a big sister!!!"

I bought Bay a new sippy cup and some new flip flops, and I guess I have been buying quite a few new things for the baby bc when I gave her the flip flops or when I gave her the sippy cup her reaction was the same: "These not for Jack? They for me?!" Sad! She thinks that all the new stuff is for Jack!
I am so excited to see her with this baby boy...but I get so sad and stressed about being away from home and in the hospital! If you know me and how I am as a mother, you probably have picked up on the fact that I like to be in control and I have a very hard time leaving Bailey or passing on the caretaker duties! So I am quite stressed about that! Though, I know my mom is the perfect one to take care of Bay bc she doesn't usually like me around when Grandma Jan is there! She usually tells me, "NO mom! Stay there, don't come!" So I know she will be fine...but I doubt I will be! :)

Bailey....

Watching a show on our bed so I can take a shower...

My pretty girl! And she knows it!

The other day during her nap! So cute!

So it is beautiful outside and our pool is open and we don't get to go swimming--Bay has an ear ache!!! Sad! Here are a few pics of her the past few days! Such a doll...but man we need sleep at night!!!! Hope the antibiotics kicks in soon! I want to take her to the pool before Jack gets here, too!!! I am still not convinced that having a Summer baby is the best time of year, BTW! You don't get to enjoy the pool and outdoors as much, I don't think! I think late winter early spring is perf bc it gives you time to recover and lose weight before summer! But we will see!

Uncle Blake is home!

This was Bay waiting for Blake to arrive: "I'm waiting for my Blake."

She ran right up to him and hugged him!
So did Ethan :)
And Bryson! :) ha ha

Sunday: playing with Uncle Ethan!

Blake (Bryson's brother) got home from his mission (Germany) on Saturday! Bailey had been excited about it all week, and kept saying, "My Blake comin home!" Blake left for his mission when she was 2 months old! It was so good to see him! We are glad he is back and we are proud of him!
Bailey loves her uncles...she adores Ethan, too! She will often run up to him and give him a hug and scream with joy! She also does a funny imitation of his laugh! :)

Happy Mommy's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! (I painted this of my mom and I in the 3rd grade :))

The most recent pic with my darling girl!

4-generations--3 mommies

I love seeing how much Bay loves my mom!

When I look back on my experiences as a mom...I am amazed by how quickly it all went! I have had such an easy stage with Bailey as an infant...then she turned 2!!! I never thought being a mom was "hard"--and I really didn't understand what others meant...but I have had some "hard" moments just the past couple months! (terrible 2's, potty training, exhaustion). However, when I think about it, there is nothing I would change! It is always the hard things in life that are the most rewarding! So cheers to mommies! Here are some of my favorite things about Bay:
1. Her love for girly things--dresses, wings, bows, jewelry, talking ("Talk-a-minute?")
2. Her love for the outdoors and playing outside
3. Her love for water, the pool, the beach.
4. Her hugs and kisses
5. Her laugh and giggles
6. Her toes--I could eat them up!
7. All of her little sayings and expecially her voice!
8. When she sings and when she dances!
9. Her smile
10. Her love of life
I am so lucky to have her! But I am also lucky to have my mom!!!! Thanks for being the best mom and for showing me how to be a good mom!!! I have always known I would be a mom and I always knew I would love it...thanks to my mom! Love you Mama!
I hope all you moms have a great day (and you mom's to be ;))!!!
