Vacation Memorabilia

I love to make vacation pictures and souvenirs into decorations…mostly when it is a beach vacation bc I LOVE the beach! Here are some I added to or created lately:

These are in our bedroom, Bay has a small picture and jar of sand and seashells/coral that she collected on our cruise in her room—but I didn’t take a picture yet.

This is the jar pictured above, I haven’t perfected it yet, but it has different pictures as you rotate it…looks pretty cool in real life.

This is a map I got in Nassau, a picture of an angel fish in Grand Turk, shells and coral from the beach (I bought the starfish), the Carnival deck plan pamphlet and some other pics:

These are just some souvenirs in the container I got at Target for $1…the flute is from Nassau, but it broke, so I put it in here.

I got these 2 conch shells in Nassau…I LOVE them! The first is on my nightstand the second is in our living room (top right on the top shelf).

I really need to live near the beach!

We are in trouble…

Here is my 23 month old….we knew the big boy bed was around the corner…but I was hopin to put it off til her was 2 and 1/2! We are going to try to get him a twin bed this weekend…cross your fingers he still naps well…Bay didn’t ever nap the same! But I am confident the night sleeping should stay the same.

Jack has started to climb out of his crib....has anyone used a crib tent before? I know he is not ready for a bed. He sleeps awesome at night! Naps have been a struggle since after a nap one day he decided not to call for me and instead climb out!!! He hasn't started it at night yet. Aaagh. I doubt I will use a crib tent...kinda scary to me. I will prob have to make the switch! Darn.

I am also genuinely sad that the Oprah show is over! I haven't seen the last episode...but last night I watched something like 4 episodes! I went to bed late. But I am sad. I have watched her show since middle school! I think it was the 6th grade! Sad. Love Oprah! I know some of you may make fun of me for this...but I do...I love Oprah! :)

Ship+Water+Me=seasick! But there were fun times, for sure!

I am not going to lie and say my cruise was relaxing and stress free. To start it off the kids were awesome on the plane ride and the long day it took to get to Jax—that was the part I was worried about. But I got sick almost immediately on the boat. I really didn’t think I would! Total bummer. The bracelets helped to keep me from throwing up, but I was sick almost every day at sea. There were a couple days of nice water, and I wasn’t sick those days. Then Bailey hurt her head badly twice! So it was a stressful time at moments. However, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay were heavenly! Nassau was kinda fun, too…but I wouldn’t recommend that port. I liked the souvenirs I got there and the little semi-sub we went on…but Bay had a bad day that day and wasn’t herself (from her head injury) and it was extremely hot and dirty there. I am not sure if I will cruise again…almost definitely not with little kids again…but maybe a Disney cruise when they are older, or a cruise just Bryson and I—though, I don’t think he would like it.

My first post was about heavenly Half Moon Cay…so here is Grand Turk and that whole day—it was actually our first port.

Snorkeling on the beach was a lot of fun. In the video you can see the canon and there is also an 8-10 foot drop off and then another drop off a little farther out that is 8,000 feet! It is a really cool place! I liked it a lot!
